Hot, hot, hot!
I’m seeing a lot of deals for travel to destinations in the Caribbean and Mexico. Naturally, the late spring and summer months are not the ideal time to travel to the equator, but don’t write these deals off too soon. My family and I actually traveled to Puerto Rico last summer during the first week of August, and we had a great time. It was hot - we saw temperatures in the high 80s and low 90s all week long. But you know what? As it happened it was in the 90s that week back home in Michigan too - and I’m glad I spent it on an island paradise rather than in my backyard, you know? We went sightseeing in the morning, before it got too hot, then spent the afternoon in the pool or at the beach, then went out for dinner and nightlife afterwards. It was fabulous. So if you can take a little heat, you can see new countries, beautiful beaches and amazing sights at bargain prices. And if you’re just planning to sit on the beach under an umbrella sipping an icy drink, the weather will be perfect!
