The Hobo Traveler
One of my favorite travel blogs is the Hobo Traveler’s blog. It’s written by a man originally from the United States who has been traveling for around ten years. He travels with very little cash. He works odd jobs and brings in money through his blog. He stays in dirt cheap hotels and youth hostels. He gets in there and meets the people, eats what they’re eating, talks to them, eats their food rather.
Now this guy is not a professional writer - the spelling isn’t perfect and the grammar could use some work. But the places he’s been, the things that he has to say about them - just fascinating. He often posts some incredible photos as well, though he hasn’t posted any recently. When I began reading his blog he was traveling through Asia, which is a place I’ve been only once and would love to see again. Right now he’s traveling through Latin America.
